The successful opening of the premises of the Commercial Court Frankfurt and the Commercial Chambers Frankfurt in November 2025 marked an important milestone for Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region as a judicial and business hub. Since operations began in July 2025, the practical relevance of this new forum has already become evident: within the first months, until January 2026, around 60 cases with a combined value in dispute of approximately € 840 million have been filed.
A particularly valuable element of this development has been the exchange with the legal profession, including practising lawyers as well as in-house counsel. Numerous practical questions regarding the conduct of the new proceedings and the drafting of suitable jurisdiction clauses have already been discussed. We would like to thank everyone for their strong interest and the open professional dialogue and look forward to continuing this exchange.
