Commercial Court and Commercial Chambers: Frankfurt in Dialog

New Approaches to Commercial Dispute Resolution

Since the inaugural event marking the launch of the Commercial Court Frankfurt and the Commercial Chambers a year ago, a vibrant professional dialogue has developed around these newly established panels. The considerable interest shown by the business community, legal practitioners and arbitration specialists demonstrates both the attention these new courts have attracted and the genuine demand they address in practice.

Through numerous conferences, events and discussions – both in Frankfurt and across Germany – participants have shared initial experiences, explored approaches to case management and procedural efficiency, and contributed fresh perspectives on modern commercial dispute resolution.

Frankfurt Dispute Resolution Symposium

24 November 2026, 5:00 pm
Commercial Court Frankfurt and Commercial Chambers

We look forward to continuing this dialogue at a specialist symposium under the theme:

Efficient Resolution of Commercial Disputes –

Commercial Court, Commercial Chambers, Judicial Mediation and Arbitration in Dialogue

The symposium will take place at the premises shared by the Commercial Court Frankfurt and the Commercial Chambers.

Together with the Hessian Minister of Justice, the President of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main and the President of the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, we aim to bring together perspectives from legal practice, the business community and the judiciary.

The programme will focus on three key themes:

  • Commercial Court and Commercial Chambers – Initial experiences with case management and case management conferences
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Commercial Disputes – Opportunities for consensual dispute resolution through mediator judges (Güterichter)
  • Arbitration in a Changing Landscape – Perspectives from Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Brussels

Further details of the programme, our panellists and registration arrangements will follow shortly.

Next Event: DAJV e.V. on 28 October 2026

Approximately one year ago, we came together to discuss the new options for international dispute resolution in Frankfurt. At that time, the Commercial Court and Commercial Chambers were still in their infancy. After a year of initial experience, we would now like to continue this exchange and explore several particularly relevant aspects in greater depth. These include topics such as the “proactive court,” “Early Determination,” the organizational hearing, and confidentiality. We will also examine the subsequent stages of appeal. The event is intended to be an interactive discussion, and contributions from the audience are expressly encouraged!
